I’ve gone from editing my 100,000 word novel (which is now down to around 85,000 – can’t remember the exact figure off the top of my head) which I wrote during Nanowrimo last year, to editing the novel from Nano 2010! This one was around 65,000 words, and is now down to 62,000, and I suspect it will drop some more before I’m finished with it. I’m find the process slow and sluggish – I reread it, thinking – who is going to want to read this?! Luckily I have some great friends who keep telling me it’s great, so I just have to trust their judgement and keep going with it. Best get back to it!
